Are you tired of all the negative news stories that are presented to us everyday? Do you like to get good news? Have you, your organization, or someone you know, done something positive, inspirational, or uplifting to help improve our community? If so, then you have come to the right place and might be interested in my publication "where all the news is good." The basic premise for the publication is that I believe news can be happy, funny, informative, inspiring and uplifting rather than negative and depressing.
If you are new to The Posi+ive Press, I would like to introduce myself and my publication to you. My name is Todd Kolarik. I have resided in Northeast Ohio for the last 30 years and currently live in Copley township in Summit County with my wife, Crissy, my two boys, Cooper (5) and Kaeden (3) and our daughter, Delaney (9 months). The Posi+ive Press is a bi-monthly free email publication about ordinary people in Northeast Ohio doing extraordinary things everyday to make our community a better place.
The idea for this publication basically stems from my being tired of the negativity of the mainstream national and local print and television media in order to get ratings or sell papers. I am not trying to sell papers or get ratings, and I don’t have deadlines to meet. I am simply bringing attention to the actions of ordinary citizens/organizations that make our community better everyday. I believe that these positive actions are newsworthy and that people just want to hear more positive, inspiring, uplifting and happy news. After all, who doesn’t like to get good news? My goal is to make readers feel good, to inspire and uplift and, if I have done my job, maybe to even make you laugh.
I need your help because I rely solely on public input for ideas for my stories. If you would like to nominate a person or organization that you would like to see featured in a future edition, please click on the "Submit Story" page and complete the requested information. Please think of ideas for stories even if the event occurred in the past. Just because an event did not happen yesterday doesn't mean that it is not newsworthy. You can also write to The Positive Press of Northeast Ohio, P.O. Box 4432 to tell me your idea for a story. If your story is published, I will even give you a by-line if you want. After all, the stories are yours, not mine.
If you would like to receive future editions via email, please click on the "Register" page then complete the requested information. Registration is free at no obligation to you and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Thank you again for taking time to visit my site and I invite you to read the current edition and submit a story that you think should be told. |
